Editor's Note: At opening night of the rerelease of This is Spinal Tap in Chicago on September 8, 2000, I met a Taphead named Mary Karlson. Back in 1984, she had attended the premiere of This is Spinal Tap in the same theater, and later, on July 10, attended the band's performance at the Cabaret Metro. Mary sent me these rare, never-before-published photos that she snapped during the performance. I don't want to imply anything, but Mary initially sent me four photos of Nigel but only two each of David and Derek. And the Nigel photos were larger. Tap on, Mary!
